Rovers 0 Musselburgh Athletic 3Rovers suffered there worst defeat in two seasons with a loss against Musselburgh Athletic in a Premier League tie. Rovers were competing in the first 15 mins until Craig Smart was took off injured due to a twist in his knee. Rovers were slack there after giving the visitors an easy game. Musselburgh hit the cross bar several times but could not put it in the net. 0-0 Half Time. Second half, Rovers were not playing the game and the visitors scored to put them in the lead. Musselburgh were in full control and made it 0-3 at Full Time. Overall the Rovers were never in it and gave the game to Musselburgh. Im sure the next game will be differant. Go On the Rovers! Next Saturday: Premier League, Penicuik Athletic 2:00pm K.O Bus is available at £7.00 a head. |

Rovers 3 Renfrew 1Rovers entertained Renfrew in the Scottish Junior Cup 2nd Round. Renfrew in full control for the first 40 minutes scoring an excellant goal in the early stages, Rovers never seem to be in the game until Craig Smart Took on 3 players in the box to score a terrific goal. Paul duncan was awarded a sitter when the ball fell to his feet from a rebound from the Renfrew defender to make it 2-1 at Half Time. Second half, Rovers were a differant team creating many chances and playing some excellant football which took the wind out of Renfrew. Lee dair scored the third with a brillant strike from outside the box to beat the keeper. In the end, it finished 3-1, Renfrew were the better side in the first half but the Rovers showed there class in the second to earn a place in the third round. Well done Lads. Rovers 3 Penicuik Athletic 2Rovers faced Penicuik in the first round of the Fife & Lothians Cup. Rovers continued there winning spree with James Adams scoring the first. Rovers continued the pressure on penicuik but with some poor defending penicuik equalised with a good strike. Rovers had some decent chances with Lee Dair coming close with a free kick. Before the break Paul Duncan put us in the lead with an excellant cross. 2-1 half time. Second half was similar to the first, Craig Smart made an excellant run down the wing and fired a excellant shot from the box which hit the post and rebound in. Penicuik scored there second from a defensive mishap which gave them some hope of winning the game. Rovers played a more passing game there on to win the match. Overall the Rovers were fair and in control, most of the game. Next game: League match against Fauldhouse United at Ore Park 2:30pm Kick Off. |

Dundee North End 2 Rovers 4Rovers made it three straight away wins out of three scoring four against Dundee North End. Rovers came out with a positive winning attitude missing several chances but Lee Dair scored the first with a thumping shot to the left of the keeper. Dundee had a few half chances but could not get to grips with the game. 0-1 half time. Second half, Rovers piled on the pressure and were awarded a penalty which was converted brilliantly by Sniper Adams. Rovers scored a third with an excellant kick from outside the box from a rampant Lee Dair. With the game almost won and some poor defending from the back Dundee scored an excellant free kick which gave them some hope of salvaging something. Five minutes later Dundee were awarded a penalty which was converted to make it 3-2. Darren Wilson was given a red card for a bad challenge which was harsh from the referee. Dundee were back in the game and were starting to put some pressure on the Rovers, but the boys kept to there game plan and put some excellant passes in to allow Craig Smart in to score an excellant goal with minutes to go. On the whole, the boys worked hard and played some attractive Football. Next match Fife & Lothians Cup Penicuik Athletic at home 18th October 2:30pm. |

Lugar Boswell Thistle 1 Rovers 3The Rovers regiment rolled into Ayrshire to take on Lugar Boswell Thistle in the first round of the Scottish Cup tie Saturday 4th. Despite long term injuries still causing gaffer wilson's and morris concern, a strong looking outfit took the field in foul conditions. Despite a good start the ore parkers fell behind to a Lugar penalty after 12 minutes. The boys stuck to the task playing some great football and were rewarded when Brian Roberts bulleted an unstoppable header into the net from a Sniper Adams corner. Rovers made it two when Adams ran down a lost cause, catching the keeper in two minds, and his attempted clearance was charged down, breaking to Craig Smart who made no mistake in finding the back of the net. 2-1 HT. Rovers took the game by the scruff of the neck and after an wonderfull four man passing move Shaun Graham finished in style, After ten minutes of the second half to more a less settle the tie. The only blemish on the day was a red card sending off for skipper Brian dempster and a yellow for Lee Dair and Keeper Kevin Smith. A throughly satisfying afternoon completed the bard Tammy Taylor releasing the second verse of the Rovers anthem. Rovers head to Dundee North End next Saturday on League business Saturday 11th October. K.O 2.30pm. Bus is available for �7 a head. |

Livingston United 2 Rovers 4Rovers won today at Livingston but not a easy win at that. Rovers started with a high tempo to the the match and scored the first with an excellant strike from Sniper Adams. Livingston equalised through poor defending and scored the second through slackness in defence. It was 2-1 at the break. After the break, the Rovers came out a differant team and put the pressure on Livingston and scored a cracker from Sniper Adams to even the scores up. With some excellant passing by the team, Barry Smith scored a goal to put us in the lead. Livingston were awarded a penalty and hit the woodwork. Rovers were in full control at this point and scored the fourth through Dan Dair's precision header. Overall Rovers were not at there best especially with the shortage of players due to injury, but a wins a win. Next Game at Lugar Boswell Scottish Cup 3pm K.O Bus Available �7.00 per man. |

Rovers 1 Kinnoull 1With Rovers determined to get back to winning trail, they got off to worse start possible when conceding a penalty in the 3rd minute, Kevin Smith bringing Kelly down after a poor bit of defending. Rovers took control of the game and it was one way traffic till half time. After the break, the pattern stayed the same although Kinnoull threatened on occasion with quick breaks from defence. The local heroes were becoming frustrated as chance after chance went begging until a typical piece of smarty magic came knocking it into the the net from a acute angle to leave the keeper defenceless. Rovers were happy to take the point but were wondering why it was not 3. Next Game: East of Scotland Cup Livingston United away 2:30pm 27th September 2008. Bus is available at �7.00 per person. |

Carnoustie Panmure 2 Rovers 1Rovers suffered there first defeat of the league campaign on the road at Carnoustie with two seperate incidents deciding the outcome. A first half penalty miss by Smarty two minutes before half time and an annoying decision by the ref 10 minutes before full time resulting in a penalty awarded to the home team which resulted in the winning goal for the Gowfers. A hard fought tie which the Rovers Just shaded over the ninty minutes. With Carnoustie starting strangly, Rovers slowly took command and missed several chances upto the penalty. The second half had a similar pattern with the home team taking the lead after a defensive mishap from the Rovers Defence. Ballingry stuck to the task and equalised following a briliant bit of football finished by a Dan Dair Special. Following a free kick from outside the box the ref decided that the tremendous strike by Aaron Conway had brushed Shaun Graham's arm and awarded a penalty, a decision which stunned everyone in the ground. Despite constant Rovers pressure upto the final whistle, Carnoustie held out for a 2-1 victory. Rovers welcome Kinnoull to Ore Park next Saturday 20th September K.O 2:30pm. |

Rovers 3 Newtongrange Star 0The Rovers Got there second win of the campaign in convincing style. Star failed to take advantage with the wind up there backs in the first half and the only time they troubled Kevin Smith he was able to claw away a Scott Swaney corner. By then they were already trialing to Paul Duncan's stinging 25 yarder after 34 mins. With the Rovers taking control after the outstanding break, the outstanding Craig Smart finished clinically after sprinting onto Darren Wilson's through ball for the second after 73 mins. And casualness in the Star defence allowed substitute Scott Logan to rifle in the third with almost the last kick of the ball. Next Game Carnoustie Panmure Away Saturday 2:30pm K.O There will be a bus setting off from Ore Park 11:45am. �7.00 each. |

Dundonald Bluebell 0 Rovers 1Rovers cruised to a first Premier League win. Rovers were very dominent from the whistle with many chances in the first half. The Rovers could not take advantage of the opportunities they had which gave the Bluebells more confidence to win the match. It was all square at half time. Second Half both teams came out hungry for a win and it was the Rovers that scored the winning goal with a brilliant strike from Sniper Adams. Rovers were a much improved side on previous fixtures but need to work on making the most of their chances. Next fixture Newtongrange Star at home on Saturday 2.30pm K.O |

Lochore Welfare 3 Rovers 2Rovers suffered another defeat in todays game against the Welfare. With both teams out of the League Cup, the Rovers were putting on the pressure from the whistle. Sean Graham scored the first with a strike from the box and then another to make it 2-0, with minutes to go in the first half, the welfare scored with a free kick. After the break, the rovers had plenty of scoring opportunities but couldn't put them away. With some poor defending, the welfare scored two more in the second half with 15 minutes to go. Next game is the start of the league, away to Dundonald 2:30pm K.O |

Kelty Hearts 5 Rovers 1Rovers suffered another defeat today in the League Cup. After a good start from the Rovers and a great strike from Adams, Rovers had a run of bad decision from a clueless referee. Kelty equalised then awarded a Penalty by the referee which was clearly a yard outside the box. Kelty captalised on there lead and scored another before the break to make it 3-1. Kelty in the second half were forcing the play to make it even more difficult for the rovers and few more ruthless decisions from the referee and a sending off for Ally Gray. Kelty scored another 2 before fulltime with a hatrick from Morrison. next game Lochore Welfare away Monday 25th 6:45pm. |

Rovers 1 Lochgelly Albert 0Lochgelly Albert were the visitors at Ore Park for an ACA League Cup tie on Saturday and the Rovers were thankfull for a James Adam goal in the first period which turned out to be the winner in a scrappy affair where the favourites failed to find there rythm and struggled to find a way past a stuffy Gardiners Park outfit. Rovers need to take full points from there remaining 2 games to be in the mix for the first round of ties and will have to improve greatly on the evidence of this display. Next game Wed 20th at Lochore Welfare K.O 6:45pm and Kelty Hearts away on Saturday 23rd K.O 2:30pm. |

Dundonauld Bluebells 3 Rovers 2Rovers Suffered a set back in the opening game of their League Cup campaign at Dundonauld on Monday night. After a even First half with both teams having decent chances, Rovers settled and started to dominate the game and took the lead following a precision free kick from Lee Dair. after a lovely move involving 5 players, Barry Smith crossed for Shaun Graham to head powerfully into the net. Rovers were cruising now but following a harsh decision, Brian Roberts was red carded and Craig Smart protests resulted in an early bath. Down to 9 men, the Rovers could not keep there shape and bluebells cashed in, netting the winner in the last minutes. No doubt the gaffer will have something to say about the discipline before saturdays game against the Albert at Ore Park, K.O 2:30pm |

Whitburn Rovers 4 Rovers 2Rovers Faced Super League Opposition in their final Pre-Season Friendly and found themselves under the C.O.S.H from the kickoff. Whitburn showed there class from the kick off with some wonderfull football but rovers stuck to there task and shocked the Super League favorites by taking the lead through a cute opportunist goal from Craig Smart, chipping the keeper, after beating the offside trap. Whitburn responded immediately and got there reward when Andy Roberts headed the equalizer and the hosts added another 2 before the break. Jamie Dolan got his second to make it 4-1 but a gutsy show from the Rovers was rewarded with a late goal from Paul Duncan. Gaffer Wilson was not downhearted and now looks forward to the sharp end of the business when the season opens next Saturday 9th August with our first league cup tie away to Dundonald Bluebells 2-30pm Kick off. Rovers 1 Jeanfield Swift 1Rovers were held to a 1-1 Draw in there second Pre Season Friendly by Jeanfield Swifts. Although the Rovers completely dominated the first half it was the Perth outfit who opened the scoring, Whytock's shot taking a wicked deflection to leave Scotty Chalmers stranded. Rovers replied almost immediately after Craig Smart finished a fine move with a cracker. The second half was shaded by Swifts, But despite their efforts and a missed Penalty in the closing minutes. Scotty making a great save low to his right. The game finished all square. Another good work out before the new season. Rovers visit Leven to play the royals on Thursday night at 7.30pm at King Georges Park. We also have a friendly with Super League Whitburn away on Saturday. Watch this space. |

Rovers 3 Beith Juniors 1Rovers Played Beath Juniors on Saturday. The Rovers were pressed hard by the visitors and had to work for every goal. Craig was tripped in the box to give us a penalty which was scored by craig smart. The visitors got one back with an impressive strike. Beith were very much dominating play at this point. Ballingry pulled one back before the break to make it 2-1. After the break, Lee dair put us 3-1 up. Beith were very dangerous on the ball and missed numerous chances. Overall, this was a good performance and a good warm up for the new season. |

New Signings for the ClubWe have made 3 new crucial signings for the new season in the East Region Premier League. We have signed Amateur League Left Sided Player Brett Halley from Greig Park Rangers. We have also signed Kelty Hearts Skipper Andy Rollo who has Bags of Experience and will prove a great asset for the Rovers. Ali Gray has also signed from Hill of Beath who is another Talented Player with Loads of Experience. Welcome to the Club. |

St Andrews United 1 Ballingry Rovers 6Ballingry Rovers Headed off to St Andrews already clinching the Title. The players looked very relaxed and played some excellant football with Dan Dare (DDS) scoring a Hatrick and Craig Smart scoring two and Paul Duncan one. Ballingry were four up at half time and dominated most of the play for a 6-1 thrashing. The home team produced a consolation goal but at that point it was too late. The players and supporters had one thing on there mind, Lifting the cup. Well done to the players for a excellant season unbeaten and plenty of goals to cheer, And thanks to the Manager Bobby and Rab for there remarkable achievement. Ballingry Rovers 0 Scone Thistle 3Ballingry Rovers suffered another defeit tonight in the Kingdom Keg Cup Quarter Final Tie. The Rovers didnt look fresh and Scone took the advantage in the first half with a strike from Craig Jack to make it 0-1.After the interval Ballingry had a few chances before Brian Dempster was sent off for raising his hands. Scone kept the pressure on Ballingry and made it 0-2 with a header from John Anderson. James Davis was sent off for a apparent bad challenge on the scone player outside the box. Scone then headed a another goal from John Anderson to make it 0-3. Despite being down to 9 men the Rovers were putting some decent balls to the Forwards which were deemed offside by the Referee. Ballingry can now look forward to lifting the cup at St Andrews at the end of the month. Go on the Rovers! |

Montrose Roselea 4 Ballingry Rovers 0Ballingry Rovers had a tough East of Scotland Cup Third Round match with a depleted & tired side. Montrose bossed the game and took advantage with a four goal thumping. Bobby Wilson is not letting the defeit affect the teams winning morale. Ballingry Rovers Clinch TitleBallingry Rovers clinched the East Central League Title on Tuesday night with a convincing win at the Welfare. Ballingry with a game to go at St Andrews are promoted to the Premier League.Ballingry Rovers Team and Commitee have put so much hard work into the campaign and deserve all the praise they get. The Rovers will be hoping for a win at Montrose for a place in the next round of the East Scottish Cup. |

Lochore Welfare 1 Rovers 4Ballingry Rovers clinched the Central League Title in style at Lochore on tuesday night. The Ore Parkers led by three goals at the interval and a fourth after the break ensured the celebrations began long before the end of the match.Ballingry got the best of starts with Lee Sutherland and then James Adam was on the spot to make it 2-0. When Sutherland struck before the braks the game was all over and Craig Smart hit the fourth after the restart. Lochore kept battling and a goal from the penalty spot by Paul Duncan gave the plucky Welfare some Consolation. Rovers Boss Bobby Wilson was delighted to his side win promotion. He said "The players throughly deserve this for they have worked so hard throughout the campaign. The Commitee also deserve alot of praise for the work they have put in to make it all possible. |

Rovers 1 Thornton 1Ballingry Rovers went into the game knowing that a win would clinch the Central League Title for them but Thornton Hibs made life very difficult for the home side.Indeed the first period saw Hibs see plenty of the ball but Ballingry came close through Craig Smart and at the break there were no goals. The breakthrough for the host came in the 55 Minutes when Brian Dempster got on a end of a cross and his header flashed into the net. But within minutes Hibs went up the park and levelled the game. After that both sides created chances and Barry Smith saw a effort cleared offthe line and Lee Dair twice went within inces of getting the winner. Nonetheless, the point maintained Ballingry's Unbeaten record in the league from 20 games. |
